RRB Level 1 Vacancy Revised 2025 – Modify Post & Railway Preference Without Fee

RRB Level 1 Vacancy Revised 2025 update has been officially released through Corrigendum No. 2 under CEN 09/2025. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have revised the vacancy details in Annexure-B and allowed candidates to modify their post and zonal railway preferences without paying any modification fee. This update is important for all applicants who have already submitted their forms.

What Has Changed in RRB Level 1 Vacancy 2025?

The latest corrigendum clarifies two major points:

1️⃣ OD (PwBD) Vacancy Removed

Earlier, vacancies were shown under the OD (Other Disability) category for:

  • South Eastern Railway (SER)
  • South Central Railway (SCR)
  • North Western Railway (NWR)

Now, RRB has clearly stated that there is no vacancy under OD (PwBD) category for Level-1 posts.

2️⃣ Metro Railway Kolkata Vacancy Revised

The vacancy numbers for Metro Railway/Kolkata have also been revised. Candidates applying for Kolkata region should carefully check updated figures.

All other terms and conditions of CEN 09/2025 remain unchanged.

  • Modify their Post Preference
  • Change Zonal Railway/Production Unit preference
  • Make changes within their selected RRB
  • Do so without paying any modification fee

This is a major relief for applicants who want to adjust their choices after the vacancy revision.

Why RRB Level 1 Vacancy Revised 2025 Is Important for Candidates

  • Some categories may see change in competition level.
  • OD (PwBD) candidates must note that there are no Level-1 vacancies under that category.
  • Metro Kolkata applicants should recheck updated vacancy numbers.
  • Preference modification allows better strategic selection.

If your selected railway has fewer vacancies after revision, you may consider updating your preference based on availability.
