Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent from a recognized university
  • Proficiency in Computer Operations (Word Processing & Spread Sheets)

All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled as on 10 March 2026.

Steno Typist

  • Minimum: 18 Years

Senior Scale Stenographer

  • Minimum: 21 Years

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Word Processing / Transcription Test followed by document verification.

For Steno Typist

  • English Shorthand Speed: 80 words per minute
  • Transcription Speed: 20 words per minute
  • Dictation Duration: 5 Minutes
  • Maximum Mistakes Allowed: 4%

For Senior Scale Stenographer

  • English Shorthand Speed: 100 words per minute
  • Transcription Speed: 20 words per minute
  • Dictation Duration: 5 Minutes
  • Maximum Mistakes Allowed: 3%

Spread Sheets Test

  • 10 Marks (Qualifying Nature)
  • Minimum 40% Marks Required

Final merit will be prepared based on performance in the transcription test.

Admit Card & Examination

  • E-Admit Card will be available on the official website only.
  • No admit card will be sent by post.
  • Candidates must carry a printed copy with a matching photograph.

Exam date will be announced separately.
